Flow Car Insurance FAQs

What happens to my no claim discount if I make a claim?

It all depends on what you're claiming for.

For example, if you were involved in a car accident and it was your fault, we'll reduce your NCD in line with our step back rules which can be found in your policy document, unless you've protected your NCD.

If you're involved in an accident that wasn't your fault and we're able to recover the cost of paying out to you from the liable driver's insurer, your NCD won't be affected.

There are some cases where a claim won't affect your NCD. For example, if you get a chip in your windscreen and it needs to be repaired or replaced, you'll have to pay an excess - but you won't lose any of your NCD.

If you're eligible and choose to pay an extra premium, we can protect your NCD. That way, your discount won't be reduced no matter how many claims you make on your policy. To protect your NCD, go to optional extras in your online account.

Just so you know, when it's time to renew, your price may go up whether you have protected NCD or not.
